F.A.Q
- Book your HAIRCUT at least a week before the photo day, this allows hair to grow into a comfortable length for photos.
- Check to make sure clothing for photo day is clean and wrinkle free.
- For the older guys - make sure you shave first thing in the morning to eliminate stubble.
- For the older girls - you look wonderful. Apply concealer for your blemishes if need but keep in mind we can also retouch.
- Make sure your nails are trimmed and clean as hands may show in the portrait. Older girls may want to do their nails. Clear or neutral colours work best.
- Remove any temporary tattoos with make up remover.
- Solid colours in medium to dark shades work best for school portraits because it emphasizes your face.
- Choose colors that compliment your eye color and skin tone.
- Wearing long sleeves allows the face to stand out more as well.
- Avoid shirts with slogans, and large patterns
- Keep the focus on you with small accessories, such as simple earrings and necklaces.
- You might want to bring a comb to make sure your hair is perfect right before your picture.
- If you normally wear glasses, feel free to wear them for your photos. Our photographers are trained to reduce glare on the lens.
Yes, however packages must contain one pose only. For eg. You may not order Package A and include both poses but you may order 2 of Package A - one for pose 1 and one for pose 2.
An Online code will be sent home on photo day. Click here to view the gallery and enter your online code.
As photo package orders are usually distributed by the school to the student photographed, this may cause delivery problems when a child divides their time between parental residences.
If you anticipate this may be an issue, feel free to let us know and we can offer you shipping to your home.
Yes, Orders placed after the shipping deadline will be shipped directly to your home address and shipping fees will apply.
Unfortunately we cannot accept post-dated cheques.
Our online system will only accept Visa, Debit Visa or Mastercard. If you prefer to pay by Cheque or E-transfer please contact our office directly to place your order over the phone.
Yes, you can! Simply send them the link to the website and give them your access code.
If your child missed photo day at your school they will automatically be called on retake day. If they have missed the retake day as well, you can visit our website here and schedule a time to bring them to our studio.
Please contact our office. Most schools do not mind but we need to let them know in advance.
We have a copyright policy to protect the images we take - similar to the policies used by movie makers, video producers and writers. While you do purchase prints or products of your child's image, the original image remains the property of Country Nuts Photography. The original images or print cannot be photocopied, scanned or reproduced without the company's written consent.
To obtain copyright release of an image for individual use you must purchase the high resolution digital image.
We typically keep our images on file forever. The packages offered to you are available only in the school year they are taken in. This allows parents the opportunity to order addition prints at the current great rates. Orders received after that are subject to new pricing and packages.
All students will receive a class photo compliments of Country Nuts Photography. If class photos are taken in the fall with photo day they will be sent out in January. photos taken in the spring will be sent out 3 weeks after the photo day.
Teachers and parent volunteers play an important role in escorting classes to the camera and assisting the students with touching up their look but it is the parent's role to be sure they are ready prior to school.
We are always welcome parent volunteers for Photo Day. Contact your parent association to see if they have filled the required 2 positions. Parent Volunteers receive a complimentary Photo Package. (Volunteer must participate the whole day)

We take pride in all our images and we try our absolute best to capture a perfect "moment in time" image of your child, but at times a photographer can miss the perfect moment amongst the hundreds of children being photographed on the day.
If we do not have a retake day scheduled, we do offer Country Nuts Photo days throughout the year at our studio.
Please note: A refund cannot be given if the high resolution digital file has already been downloaded.
